Linux XFS File Recovery

So, you let your Ghost blog file get overwritten by an auto-update (like me) and now you want it back. As you probably know, when files are deleted or overwritten, they are likely not destroyed on the physical disk until that space is needed. There are a variety of file recovery tools to use, but for XFS, it is likely you will have to use a tool called photorec. Download the tool and it runs a nice interactive cli which will guide you through recovering files. I ended up recovering all the files it could and then searching through their content with the command: grep -Ril word-you're-looking-for /place/you're/looking since the files it recovers are without names.
